Greetings!! Well, the name may or may not explain it all. The name of this blog is "transtablism", which is my fusion of transgender and turntablism (get it the play on words now-aren't I clever) Anywho, a little background; for most of my natural life I have always felt there being something different about me in this planet. Eventually I learned there is a term for that feeling which I have, it's called transgenderism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postgenderism). If you are uncomfortable with that then I suggest you immediately veer clear of this blog, however you should know that this is not solely for the sake of transgender awareness, yes I am TG, but I am also a very talented artist/ producer/ and DJ. Yes I will discuss some TG issues I am dealing with, but I also want to share with the world my love of music. I will be posting some of my original production tracks, mixtapes, and other listenings for you all to enjoy. Please feel free to let me know what you think of my mixes or submit any suggestions or even some of your own material. Musical wise I draw my influences from an eclectic platform of references, needless to say I love music and everything about it. It has been really one of the only things that kept me going while dealing with and continuing to deal with issues of being a transgendered musician in todays world. Yes there have been a significant number of breakthroughs, but we still face a significant number of setbacks, dangers, and failures as well. I am voluntarily choosing not to post any pictures of myself at this point in time on this blog b/c for one I believe that the point of creating these compositions is to be heard and place all other reservations you may have with the TG community aside. However, don't fret I will eventually ease some pictures of myself into this blog pending upon the initial receptions of it in general. In the meantime fasten your seatbelts; let's rock and roll, and of course D.A.N.C.E ^^
